I was in need of a good cardio session this morning. Since I only had an hour to workout AND get ready for church, it had to be a quick and intense workout. So, I grabbed a playlist and headed over to a set of stairs at a college campus down the street. Man, there is nothing like a good set of stairs!

Whether they’re in a stadium or at a deserted college, stairs are quick to unleash my cardio bunny. They get the heart pumping and the booty burning right away. With the music blaring, it felt like my own private (yet very public) Sunday morning dance party.
Instead of using a specific workout routine, I decided on a few moves and then just went with the music. If you’re interested in trying it out, create a circuit with some suggested moves below and repeat it for 15, 20 or 30 minutes:
- Choose a few types of stair climbs (i.e. run, lateral squat climb, squat jumps, step and lift).
- Select a handful of cardio drills (i.e. jacks, split jumps, skaters, side lunges, squats)
- Mix in a few rounds of pushups and your favorite ab exercises.
